Siren Racing & Cyclelogics Motorcycle Rider Training will again be sponsoring the 2010 Pitt Meadows Track Days at the BC Driving Centre north of the Pitt Meadows Airport. Come and join us and get some practice on a closed course and in a safe and controlled enrivoment. The 2010 dates are:
April 24th (Saturday) May 31st (Monday) June 20th (Sunday) July 26th (Monday) August 23rd (Monday) Thanks to everyone who came out last year. We enjoy putting them on and most of all, enjoyed the smiles on everyone that was there.
Keep in mind that we're not racing out there... this is a place where riders can take their speed to a safe place, practice some cornering skills and get some feedback from experienced riders on how to improve & be safe on the road. Tony Ioannou of ThumPhoto will be out at most of the track days to take your picture so you have a reminder of how well you did. Tony's photos are second-to-none and a great thing to have to watch yourself improve over the day(s).
We will have a caterer on site for breaks and RMR Suspensions will be on site to assist you with your suspension set-up as well.
Prices this year are as they were last year - $100 for a full day and $60 for a half day. If you need more details about registering please send an email to Nancy through this site & more information will be provided. The track times are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Here are some comments from some of the riders that were out in 2009 and 2008: "First time i've been on a track in 12yrs....had a blast, great safe place to get re-aquainted with sport bikes. Lots of great ppl. No jerks, no egos..."
"Thanks to Nancy and gang for putting on a terrific event. Seriously, it's a great venue for all, particularly beginners and intermediate to hone their riding skills. You should take advantage of it while Nancy still organizes this or has access to this venue. I only wish this was available back in my early days of riding. The course was nicely laid out and the pavement was excellent."
"Thank you, Nancy, Tony, Randy and all that were involved in putting this together. Rod did an awesome job with my suspension set up. Hopefully see you all next time."
".,,it is an especially good opportunity for noobs to come out in a safe environment with knowlegable riders to show you good riding practices! You will learn tons without having to worry about running off the road or hitting anything!" "The track day was fantastic for new track riders. I got a lot of support from Randy and the other riders. It was a great to learn how to find the line and discover how much there is to learn. Riding on the track was a great experience. I had no idea riding my dual sport on the track with the sport bikes could be so much fun. The amount of fun I had on the track was shocking - I had no idea it was possible to have that much fun." See you all out on May 31st!!
